6G Vertical: Decentralized Applications for Next-Generation Networks
Project Description
This project aims to develop a suite of vertical applications for 5G and 6G networks designed to operate independently of traditional cellular operators. Each application will target a specific industry vertical, with development led by a single partner or a small, specialized team. The focus is on creating value-added solutions that leverage the unique capabilities of 5G and 6G, such as enhanced security, ultra-low latency, and massive connectivity.
Project Objectives
The core objective is to create high-value, tailored solutions that strategically leverage the unique capabilities of 5G and 6G, such as ultra-low latency, enhanced security, and massive connectivity, in challenging or critical environments.
Target Domains
The project is structured around specific industry domains, with specialized partner teams driving the development for each vertical.
Mines and Underground Sites
Deploying high-performance 5G (and future 6G) networks to ensure continuous and reliable critical communication during emergencies and partial site collapses, enhancing safety and operational resilience in challenging industrial and remote environments.
Remote Manufacturing Sites
Implementing a 5G system connected via SatCom to provide robust communication for isolated manufacturing facilities that lack conventional cellular coverage, enabling advanced automation and data exchange in remote locations.
Underwater Infrastructure
Deploying high-performance 5G (and future 6G) networks to ensure guaranteed critical communication during emergencies and partial site collapses, significantly enhancing safety and operational resilience in challenging and complex environments
Smart Agriculture& Remote Farmlands Operations
Disaster-Response & Post-Catastrophe Zones
Smart Transportation Corridors (Air, Land, Sea)
Energy Grids & Autonomous Power Systems
Arctic, Antactic, and High-Altitude Research Sites

We have already secured a dedicated partner for the underground use case, and consequently, we cannot accommodate additional candidates in this area.

We will review all submissions to ensure alignment with the overall project concept and to confirm the absence of any conflict of interest with existing partners. You will receive a response following this internal review.
